Question by GirlfromBoston: Where can I download the software that came with Canon t1i?
I bought this camera when it first came out, and at that time, I only had a desk top computer, so the program which allows you to access the controls of your camera from your computer were a little useless to me at the time. Now that I have a laptop, I’d like to install the software that came with the camera. Problem is, I have no idea where I put it. I spent two days digging through my house for it, and no luck. I found software from 1993, and probably a hundred programs that are completely outdated (so I’m sure I wouldn’t have thrown this one out).
If anyone has this camera, could you tell me the name of the program/s that came with the included CD’s. I have the “Canon Step up Photography” CD, but thats not the one I’m looking for. The one that I need is the one that allows you to plug your camera into your computer, and control the settings/photos/etc from there so you don’t even have to touch the camera if you don’t want to. I went on Canons download website http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/eos_slr_camera_systems/eos_digital_slr_cameras/eos_rebel_t1i and I’m not sure which one I need.
I’d really appreciate your help.

The canon program that allows you to control the camera remotely I believe is called EOS Utility.
And I do not think you can download that from Canon, only the updaters. They make you buy another CD.
